This Privacy Policy explains how One At A Time handles information. The short version: the app is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not create accounts, and we do not collect or transmit your personal reading data to our servers.
What we collect
We do not require you to sign up, and we do not operate a backend that stores your identity, library, or reading history.
On your device, the app may store locally:
- Books and files you import or download into your library
- Reading progress, bookmarks, and related session state
- Display preferences such as text size and reader settings
That information stays on your device unless you choose to move it yourself (for example, by backing up your device with Apple’s tools).
Network activity
One At A Time may use the network only when you initiate an action that needs it—such as downloading a free-library EPUB or opening an external catalog website in Safari. Those downloads and page loads go to third-party services (for example, Project Gutenberg or Open Library), not to our servers or any user account system. We do not use that activity to build a profile of you.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs in the app to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Third-party sites and files
Free-library titles and related covers or metadata come from external sources. Those providers have their own practices. When you download or visit their content, their terms and privacy policies apply to that interaction. We are not responsible for third-party websites, files, or how those providers handle information.
Platform analytics
Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized App Store analytics (such as download counts or crash reports) under Apple’s policies. That is controlled by Apple and your device settings, not by an in-app account with us.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not run accounts or a data collection service, there is no child profile stored with us.
Your choices
You can delete imported books and clear local data by removing items in the app or by deleting the app from your device. Uninstalling removes the app’s local storage on that device.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
